No society can live in harmony and peace without taking care of the weaker and suffering people amongst them.
As its name itself denotes, Karunya Sangha Vedi (KSV), Kochi was established in the year 2006 by a group of compassionate persons in Kochi city to extent support to the downtrodden people of the society. Initially, KSV provided financial assistance to the ailing patients of poor families by collecting funds from its limited members. Later, as a part of extending their service in to the social sphere, the organization has launched various programmes for the care and preservation of nature. For this, thousands of tree buds were given to the general public with the support of various Resident’s Associations. Apart from this, volunteers of KSV were engaged in planting hundreds of tree buds especially in the premises of schools, colleges, hospitals and also along the streets, on 5th June, ie., “World Environment Day”, every year. It is pertinent to mention here that these trees are well cared and protected by the members of KSV by visiting the respective premises once in every quarter and providing required shelter and care.
On the other hand, KSV is very much committed to respect and honour eminent personalities and other fellow organizations who lead key role in the charity work and activities of social reformations by acknowledging their services properly. The prime role now being played by KSV organization is providing help to the ailing cancer and kidney patients from financially backwards families by making available the costly medicines and food materials they need. To materialize this, KSV finds out people with kindness and passion and by channelising the monitory assistance being provided by such personalities to the needy. KSV is also looking forward to launch various socially committed programmes in the near future with the support of the likeminded people.
It's quite a human nature to dream for a happy and sustained life. Today, people work hard to achieve this common goal.
But earning money or getting power in a society alone can not make a person really happy. This is because of the fact that we can't
refrain from the sufferings and difficulties being faced by few fellow members amongst us. It is human nature to show compassion towards such weaker section.
To procalim all these noble causes, Karunya Sangha Vedi will be hoisting it's flag (given below) high in all major social and community events so that people with sufferings and
difficulties can seek KSV's helping hand easily.
