Smt Baby is a 70-year-old lady who lives alone near St. Sebastian's Church, Chellanam. When KSV volunteers went there to distribute food kits, the pathetic condition of the lady came in to the attention of KSV Charity. Instead of roof, she had few torn plastic sheets tied across the nearby tree branches. This had worsened her condition as in winter, rain water splashed all across her room through the holes in the old plastic sheets. KSV donated a new cot to her and started the restoration work of Baby Chechi's house. It took around a month and a half to complete work of raising the wall on the sides of the house, trussing work at the top roof, flooring at the bottom, electrical work, white washing, painting etc. Smt Eunice, Kallarackal, an associate of KSV Charity, has helped Karunya Sangha Vedi in this endeavour.
