People with disabilities need health care and health programs for the same reasons anyone else does to stay well and active in the community.
Disability, both physical and mental, is not a fault of an individual. It could happen to anyone, anytime. In fact, the overall health of a community can be easily judged by observing the living condition that it provides to its disabled persons. Ranging from children to very old ages, such people require constant care and medical support from other people in the society. KSV has initiated several projects to improve the standard of living for such disabled persons by providing mechanized transportation facilities, medicines, food and proper medical assistance.
KSV distributes equipments that help in different needs and requirements some people have, whether they are visual, hearing and mobility related, among others. For this, we have distributed walkers and wheelchairs to several persons who had difficulty in moving around.
KSV is coming up with few projects to take care of the bedridden people as the condition of such people are often very pathetic due to lack of awareness to care for such patients or due to negligence.
