Karunya Sangha Vedi, Kochi organized a message evening at Athippozhy Junction, Kochi with the aim of becoming a drug-free nation. Drugs consumes our young generation like a worm destroying a beautiful blooming flower.
"People and organizations should stand and fight together for a drug free country", was the gist of the speech delivered by Sri. Santosh Mon, Fort Kochi Station Officer.
Sri. K. K. Arun Kumar, Kochi Excise Preventive Officer said that drug taking is started as a joke among the students and then became a trend in their lives and that is a sad situation to see. According to him it is the need of the hour for students, guardians and locals to stand together to fight against this. Anti-drug pledge recited by Mrs. T. Padma Kumari, Karunya Sangha Vedi worker and Willington Island Division Councilor was accepted by public as well as Karunya Sangha stage workers present there during the occasion. The children also performed anti-drug messages and dances under the leadership of Sri. Adwait.
In the meeting, Karunya Sangha Vedi President Sri P. K. Natesan occupied the chair. General Secretary Dr. Sujith M. S., Vice President Sri. George Thaikoottathil, Sri. P. P. Jacob, Secretaries Sri. P. T. Boniface, Mrs. Haysil Joy, Treasurer Sri. P. G. Lawrence, Mrs. Joyce Anthony, Sri. Vako Prakash, Dr. Anoop Francis, Mrs. T. P. Sophia, Mrs. Jane Anthony, Mrs. Jesse Varghese, Mrs. Mary Lizzie and others delivered their insights on the subject.
