Karunya Sangha Vedi (KSV Charity) organized a Christmas gathering at the Athipozhi office premises, an event dedicated to embracing marginalized individuals in society and consistently offering medical camps, food kits, and dialysis services every month for their welfare.
Major Mr R. Rajesh, a prominent figure in the field of social service, inaugurated the Christmas gathering. Karunya Sangha Vedi President Mr P.K. Nadesan presided over the event. In his keynote address, Mr. V.P. Sreelan, President of the Kochi Press Club, emphasized the importance of creating a society that respects and honors all religions, transforming the celebration of various religious festivals into symbols of love and care shared across communities.
Mrs. Liji Francis delivered the Christmas message. Other speakers included Dr. Thomas Maliyekkel, Major Mr Haneesh, John Chambakkatt, Karunya Sangha Vedi General Secretary Mr P.G. Lawrence, Vice President Mr T.P. Sophia, Treasurer Mr Sebastian Bernard, Mr P.T. Boniface, Mr T.J. Jain, Mrs Joyce Antony, Mrs A.S. Ambili, Mrs Missouri Sam, Mrs Shalini Kunjumon, Mr Antony Palluruthy, Mrs P.M. Safiya, Mr Antony Dennis, and Mrs Chandini Ronald.
Following the meeting, meals were served to all attendees, and a series of cultural programs were conducted under the leadership of Karunya Sangha Vedi members. In conjunction with the members' Christmas celebrations, Karunya Sangha Vedi volunteers also reached out to marginalized individuals and bedridden patients by delivering Christmas delicacies like chicken and bread directly to their homes. They further extended their joy by participating in Christmas celebrations at nurseries, sharing happiness with the little children.
