On the occasion of World Teacher's Day, in a meeting held at Karunya Sangha Vedi's office hall in Kochi, KSV honored the teachers and non-teaching staff of Karunya Sangh Vedi who are striving to mold a better society for the progress of the country. Karunya Sangha Vedi President Sri P. K. Natesan said in his presiding address that the service rendered by the teachers who shed the light of knowledge in darkness of ignorance is a great thing. Sri Thomas Maliekal, a social worker and eminent doctor, who delivered the keynote address in the meeting, recalled the services he had rendered at home and abroad. Sri. John Champakat was the chief guest on the occasion. Dialyzers and food kits were then distributed to the patients. Sri Unni Antony, a representative of the young generation who has rendered excellent service in the programs organized in connection with last year's Onam celebration was honored with a memento at the ceremony.
