Under the leadership of Karunya Sangha Vedi, Kochi, and as part of a health-awareness initiative for coastal residents, a lifestyle-disease screening medical camp was organized at the Our Lady of Health Church Hall, Saudi on 10 January 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Councillor Mrs. Ashwathi Girish inaugurated the camp, while the parish vicar Rev. Fr. Tobias Thekkepalakkal delivered the keynote address. The program was presided over by Mr. P. T. Boniface, President of Karunya Sangha Vedi. The camp was led by Dr. Thomas Maliyekkal (recipient of the Star of Italy award), Mrs. Shirly Peter (Retired Government Nursing Superintendent), Mrs. Helen Joy (Retired Head Nurse), and Mrs. Joyce Antony (Palliative Convenor).

The gathering also featured remarks from Mr. P. G. Lawrence (General Secretary), Mr. Sebastian Bernard (Treasurer), Mr. P. K. Nadesan, Mrs. T. P. Sophia, Mr. K. J. Michael, Mr. P. K. Suresh, Mrs. T. J. Jain, Mr. James Panakkathara, Mrs. Misory Sam, Mrs. Seena Jolly, and Mr. Antony Palluruthy.
