With the message that a pain-free life is the right of every human being, and that social organizations must be able to help by finding comprehensive solutions for physical and mental sufferings, Karunya Sangha Vedi, Kochi observed World Palliative Care Day 2026. Karunya Sangha Vedi President Mr. P. G. Lawrence presided over the function. Councillor Mrs. Kavitha Harikumar inaugurated the event. Dr. Thomas Maliyekkal delivered the keynote address. As part of healthcare initiatives for coastal residents, a lifestyle disease detection medical camp was conducted.

During the ceremony, food kits and financial assistance for medical treatment were distributed to bedridden patients. Vice President Mrs. T. P. Sophia, General Secretary Mrs. A. S.
