Karunya Sangha Vedi celebrated Onam 2026 by extending support to the underprivileged in society. Karunya Sangha Vedi President P. G. Lawrence presided over the event. Kochi MLA Shiyas inaugurated the function. He commended Karunya Sangha Vedi for standing alongside the elderly and bedridden patients' families to work for the welfare of society. As a gift from Karunya Sangha Vedi, the MLA handed over a smart LED television for the mothers of Palluruthy Karunya Bhavan during the ceremony. Additionally, new clothes were presented to each mother as an Onam gift. Retired Major R. Rajesh inaugurated the food kit distribution. R. Sreejith, Leader of the Opposition in the Municipal Corporation, delivered the Onam message. Film playback singer Vipin Xavier was the chief guest, and Councillor T. Padmakumari distributed medical financial assistance. Sunitha P. A. (elected as the State Commissioner - Ranger for Bharat Scouts and Guides), journalist M. M. Salim, Philomina Antony (who retired as an Anganwadi teacher after 43 years of service), Advait Kalesh (who achieved outstanding success in post-graduation), and Antony Palluruthy (outstanding worker) were honored at the event. General Secretary Ambili Kalesh, Vice Presidents Sophia T. P. and Jane T. J., Treasurer Sebastian Bernard, Media Convener P. T. Boniface, Secretary Joyce Antony, Program Coordinator Jacob P.
