The International Women's Day 2025 is celebrated in the office premises of the Karunya Sangha Vedi at Kochi. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Mrs. T.P. Sophia. The event was inaugurated by the Chairperson of the Tailoring Workers' Welfare Fund Board, Mrs. Elizabeth Assisi. The chief guest was Fort Kochi's South Indian Women’s Kalaripayattu Guru, Mrs. Merina Ashwini Kumar, who was honored with the title of "Veerangana" by the India Book of Records for training the highest number of women in Kalaripayattu. During the ceremony, several women were honored, including Mrs. Mary Sindhu (women auto-rickshaw driver), Mrs. Selin Prakash (fisherwoman), Mrs. Philomina Antony (Anganwadi teacher), and tailoring workers Mrs. C.C. Beena, Mrs. Beena Sunil, Mrs. K.L. Omana and Mrs. Thresiamma Chavaro. Speeches were delivered by Mrs. Shalini Kunjumon, Mrs. Ambili Kalesh, Mrs. Joyce Antony, Mrs. Jain Antony, Mrs. Sherly Peter, Mrs. Mary Lisy, Mrs. Chandni Ronald, and Mrs. Mizori Sam.
Guru Merina led the Women's Day pledge. Miss Stella, who was visiting from the U.K., was also honored during the event.
